Gooseberry and citrus notes are mixed with tropical notes such as guava and passion fruit. The palate is balanced between acidity and minerality, followed by a fresh, tropical finish. Enjoy oyster cocktails, marinated seafood, wine-steamed scallops, scallop carpaccio, sushi and salads.

About Sherwood Estate

Sherwood Estate was established in 1985 by Diane and Gilles. At that time, New Zealand was an underdeveloped industry with only about 70 wineries.

Also, when Sherwood started making Pinot Noir, there were only five wineries in New Zealand making Pinot Noir. It was one of the first to realise the potential of the New Zealand land and has now established itself as a pioneer.

The winery is unusual for a boutique winery in New Zealand in that it is fully owned and operated from grape growing to bottling, using state-of-the-art equipment, natural yeasts and other uncompromising attention to detail. The company is also a member of the World Winegrowers Association (WZWA).
