Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 750ml

Antinori Marchese Chianti Classico Riserva red dry wine - shows a balanced, pleasant taste with a supple texture, notes of cherries, strawberries, wild herbs, spices and tobacco, smoothly passing into a persistent aftertaste. The wine has a harmonious aroma woven from notes of fruit, flowers, spices and toasted oak. The wine will be a perfect accompaniment to red meat dishes, such as grilled meat, barbecue, poultry and game roasts, cheeses.

The best grapes for the creation of Chianti Classico Riserva were hand-picked in late September and early October. Each variety was vinified separately. After destemming and gentle pressing, maceration was carried out on the skins in stainless steel tanks to extract the full phenolic and aromatic potential. De-stemming and pump-over were performed regularly. Fermentation on the peel lasted 9-10 days. Towards the end of the year, spontaneous malolactic fermentation was completed in 225 litre French oak barrels, after which the wine was aged for about a year in new French and Hungarian oak barrels. The wine was then assembled, bottled and aged for a further 12 months in the winery's cool cellars.
