The Sanchez distillery represents the culture, tradition and art of Candelaria Yegole, a small village in the Southern Sierra with fertile soil on which more than ten varieties of agave grow.

“Destiladora Sanchez” today represents the passion of a people dedicated to the production of artisanal mezcal. The Sanchez distillery is committed to the conservation of wild agaves: in the second half of the year 2013, a nursery was built with about 8 thousand seedlings of the Mexican agave variety Rodacantha, which is currently endangered.
