The production region of D.O. Ribera del Duero is located in the region of the Duero river basin, about 115 kilometres long and 35 kilometres wide, located at the confluence of the provinces of Soria, with 19 municipalities, Burgos, with 60 municipalities, Segovia, with 4 municipalities and Valladolid, with 19 municipalities, all of them belonging to the Valladolid region of Campo de Peñafiel. It begins approximately in the east in San Esteban de Gormaz and extends to Quintanilla de Onésimo in the west.
