The Barramundi Shiraz Petit Verdot consists mainly of Shiraz and a smaller percentage of Petit Verdot. This blend from Australia shows a wonderful bouquet hinting of dark wild berries, black cherries, cloves and violets, complemented by nuances of cigar, leather and a fine spice as well. On the palate, this accessible Australian red wine is full-bodied and juicy. The separately vinified grape varieties matured for six months in new American oak casks before blending. Try the Barramundi Shiraz Petit Verdot with duck, quail or chicken liver pâté.
