Sauza " is considered one of the oldest tequila production companies in Mexico, and in terms of the popularity of "young" varieties it has no equal in the Mexican open spaces. The company was founded in 1873 by Don Kenobio Sauza. Its main production facilities are located in the state of Jalisco. It was the products from " Sauza " that became the first tequila in the history of Mexico to be exported to the United States. The son of the company's founder, Don Eladio, at one time took over the management of the company, significantly expanding it and opening branches in Mexico City and Monterrey. The Sauza company has been passed down from fathers to children for 6 generations, developing and improving.
