The Ferran family has been producing this noble drink since the beginning of the 18th century, and over such a long time, a large amount of first-class cognac spirits accumulated in its cellars, which were not sold. Thanks to the entrepreneurial talent of Gabriel and Andre, the company managed to establish sales of cognac and promote the Pierre Ferrand brand on the international market. Over time, as a result of some disagreements, Pierre Ferrand, remaining a shareholder of the company, opened his enterprise, and Alexandre Gabriel and Jean-Domenic Andre are currently in charge of Cognac Ferrand. Today, the cognac house owns 60 hectares of vineyards in the Grand Champagne region, where, using organic processing methods, the Ugni Blanc and Colombard grape varieties are grown, from which the best spirits for Pierre Ferrand cognacs are produced.

The company works closely with several distilleries located in the Caribbean and sells them cognac barrels. Once, during a business trip, Alexander Gabriel tasted several samples of rum, aged in barrels and intended for private consumption. He was pleasantly shocked by the richness of the aroma and taste of this drink. As a result, the idea arose to buy and bottle rare types of rum. Thus, among the products produced by the Pierre Ferrand cognac house, a wonderful collection of rums appeared under the Plantation brand, which immediately received high praise from specialists and a wide range of admirers of this wonderful drink.
