Akashi Whiskey is the only whiskey in the world that is produced under the supervision of a grand master of sake making, a Toji. Thus, many sake production methods are implemented in the production of whiskey. The White Oak AKASHI RED Blended Whiskey is a typical Japanese blend. 30% malted barley and 70% grain are used for this whiskey. Maturation lasts at least five years; three years in hogsheads and two years in white oak casks.
