Chrysea has become a real cult wine in Portugal. But it is also the essence of the flavours of the Douro Valley. Dark, tart fruit, a great slate flavour and enormous richness, without being liqueur-like or sweet. A unique wine that is unfortunately only produced in very small quantities. The 19 is one of the best vintages that have been harvested from this wine to date. Very long finish, fine-grained, fine tannins. Wonderfully dark, round fruit. The Symington family, one of the best port producers in the Douro Valley, and Bruno Prats from Château Cos d'Estournel had a shared vision. They wanted to make a kind of Cos des Douro and as the Symingtons have the best vineyards in the valley, there was really nothing to stop them.
