Marsala Superiore Dry DOC 'Vecchio Florio' 2020 750 ml

The Old Florio is a Dry Superior Marsala DOC obtained from Grillo and Cataratto, cultivated in the coastal vineyards of Marsala, on sandy and sunny soils caressed by the sea breeze. After fermentation, the addition of grape alcohol stops the yeasts, preserving its dry character and important structure. It matures for over 30 months in oak barrels in the historic Cellar Florio, just a few meters from the sea. The result is a wine with an ancient gold color, with aromas of hazelnut, vanilla, blonde tobacco and marine notes. On the palate, it is dry, warm, and harmonious, with great persistence and verticality. Ideal with blue cheeses, shellfish, bottarga, or as a meditation wine. A bottle that encapsulates the authentic soul of traditional Marsala.
