Matured in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads for 15 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Blackberry and liquorice top notes are overlaid by some smoky cedar, a touch of meatiness and pepper. Medium to full bodied with excellent richness and a vibrant finish, juicy blackberry and liquorice flavours run into some subtle clove infusions followed by vanillin cedar and blackpepper. The finely grained tannin structure has an underlying sturdiness. Long spicy aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, smoky vanillin cedar, dried meats and blackpepper.
