This rosé was named "Landmark" after the special typicity that the vineyards in Waihopai and Wairau Valley, where the grapes come from, give the wines. Wines with a very special aromatic, elegant and mineral character that you associate with Marlborough.

Landmark Rosé is composed of Pinot Noir (63%), Pinot Gris (34%) and Chardonnay (3%).

The grapes are hand-picked and pressed immediately after arrival in the cellar - however, the Pinot Noir is allowed to macerate very briefly with skins, to achieve the delicate rosé colour. The must of the three grape varieties is then pressed together and fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the wine and the aromatic character of the grapes.

The wine is bottled immediately after fermentation.

The grape composition in Landmark Rosé gives a rare complexity and harmony to rosé wine. The wine has a light, pink colour and fresh, slightly exotic aromas of summer fruits, bush flowers and citrus. In the mouth, it has a good dryness and finesse, as well as nice fatness at the end.

Pinot Gris in particular provides a bit of wildness, and that is quite exciting in a rosé wine! Use it as an aperitif, tapas, starters, with seafood or fish, pasta and many kinds of vegetable dishes.
