Boatshed Bay is part of the Goldwater Winery, on the South Island in New Zealand. Founded in 1978, it is part of the oldest wine producers in New Zealand. In this place, sustainable methods are used to maintain the viability of the soil. The wines reflect the character and personality of the coastal region. 

The vines of Boatshed Bay Sauvignon Blanc come from two sub-regions of the well-known Marlborough region. Wairau Valley and Awatere border each other, but differ in climate. While both have a moderate climate, with warm days and little rain, the Wairau Valley is more protected than Awatere Valley. Both regions benefit from extended ripening periods, promoted by the influences of the ocean. In the Awatere Valley, however, the harvest time is a bit behind its neighbor, as the cold sea air has a direct influence on the vines. 

Boatshed Bay combines Sauvignon Blanc from both regions. This creates a colorful cocktail of exotic fruits, paired with fresh acidity and unmistakable Sauvignon Blanc minerals.
