Konnyaku is produced from tubers of Konjac root. It is a kind of crunchy and chewy, not runny, and specially used as a vegan substitute for gelatin.

Mix Konnyaku Jelly Powder and 250g of fine sugar and stir well.
Boil 950ml of water, gradually sprinkle the mixture in boiling water and stir well until the mixture is dissolved (approximately 8 minutes). Let it simmer till the liquid is reduced enough to form a jelly. (You can do a test by dropping a spoonful of the liquid into the icy water. If they form well, they are ready). Optional: Add colouring or flavouring of your choice.
