Breeding reptiles is very close to the heart of many terrarium owners. It requires a lot of care and attention to detail. To make it easier to breed reptiles and to improve hatch rates, Exo Terra has developed the Incubation Box. The transparent box is made of polypropylene, a material that is harmless for reptiles. It uses the floating incubation method in which eggs are placed in a special tray and float above the water or substrate. Although the eggs are not moist in the substrate they get adequate moisture from the air. Maximum gas exchange between the egg and air in the incubator is guaranteed. In this method, there is no risk of insufficient substrate moisture despite the small amount of substrate needed.

The incubation box can hold up to 12 eggs. The box is hygienic and very easy to clean. There is a thermometer in the centre of the box so you can regularly and easily keep an eye on the temperature inside and react quickly if needed. The rectangular shape makes the most efficient use of space. You can also observe the eggs without removing the lid because it is transparent.
