Bohae Plum Wine Matsoon is a long-selling plum wine made with blue plums harvested from a farm of 140,000 pyeong in Haenam, Jeollanam-do in Korea.

Bohae Plum Wine Matsoon is Korea's representative plum wine. Haenam plum has a superior taste to other local plums, making it an ideal raw material for plum wine. The raw material of Maechwisun is a plum juice that is aged for more than 5 years after mixing domestic plums with 95% pure alcohol and leaching for 60 days. Maechwisun, made by mixing this undiluted plum juice with Mediterranean wine, has a rich aroma, deep taste, and golden colour. This is the reason why it is considered a marriage that goes well with Korean food as well as Japanese food.
