Maxxis Tire REKON 29 x 2.40 WT 3c MaxxTerra TR EXO

The Maxxis Rekon is a very voluminous tyre that you can use for daily tours, shred avidly in the forest and on AllMountain, but also handle detours into rougher terrain. The TR version with EXO sidewall protection is designed for driving without a tube with sealing milk, but like all TR tyres it can also be used with a tube. We recommend the Rekon primarily on the rear wheel, which can best be combined with a 2.60 Forekaster in the front, but also with coarser profiles.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)

This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and tyre shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tyres are developed for narrow rims and get a too-square shape on wide rims and thus a less-than-optimal performance.

WT tyres are optimized for an internal rim width of 35 mm but work excellently on all rims with an internal dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
