Cinzano vermouths first appeared in 1757 in Turin, when the brothers Carlo Stefano Cinzano and Giovanni Giacomo obtained a license from the University of Confectionery and Distillery, they founded the Cinzano company and opened a wine shop where they began to sell their branded vermouths.
